Shri Shivaji Education Society (SSES) was established in 1932 by visionary leader Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh and over the years it has built a legacy of excellence across 300+ institutions in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. With a motto of “Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay,” the Society has been a pioneer in education, research, and community development.
The Vasantrao Gulalkari Research, Innovation, Skilling & Entrepreneurship (VG-RISE) Centre established at Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Polytechnic, Amravati, is a bold step towards empowering students and faculty members with cutting-edge facilities. Backed by initial seed funding from SSES and a doner, VG-RISE provides state of the art incubation labs, mentorship, and industry linkages to turn ideas into impactful solutions for society.
The objectives of Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati, is to advance education and research across diverse fields, promote women’s education, support cultural and physical development, provide facilities for underprivileged students, create academic resources, undertake allied activities, and organize educational, cultural, and sporting events, while collaborating with government and institutions and effectively managing resources to fulfill its mission.
